Welcome to the Allen Cognitive Network
This website serves as the home of Allen Cognitive Advisors, Ltd. This is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to creating opportunities for networking among rehabilitation professionals. Our mutual focus is to understand and respect our client’s cognitive abilities and to improve our rehabilitation outcomes. We are an international group of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Members of the organization pursue clinical, teaching and research activities related to psychosocial, physical and geriatric rehabilitation.
We have gathered for the following purposes:
- To offer an organized method for the exchange of information relating to human cognition, behaviors associated with cognitive changes, and promotion of the best ability to function;
- To educate health care providers and caregivers about the most effective and empathetic strategies for providing care that optimizes the functional performance and quality of life for persons with cognitive limitations.
- To promote the educational and clinical use of the Allen Cognitive Battery;
- To encourage research that incorporates the Allen Cognitive Battery;
- To provide a mechanism for recognition and certification in administering and interpreting the Allen Cognitive Battery.
Please note that this organization operates entirely by volunteer efforts. You are welcome to participate, sharing your skills and interests with this international group of dedicated professionals.
